Eart breaking ceremony was held on site at DHA 7. Lt Gen Ijaz Ahmed Bakhshi, President of DHA Lahore was the chief guest. Ceremony was attended by Vice Chairman of MCC Company from China. MCC is carrying out development work on Phase 7.
The ceremony was attended by serving officers ,brigadiers and generals, few retired general officers, DHA staff, a good number of DHA residents and DHA staff under extremely tight security.
The DHA Administrator, Brig Muhammad Aslam Rana briefly welcomed the President and all the guests and briefly spoke about the development work. Gen Bakhshi, admired the excellent development work and gave statistics that DHA 7 has a total of 14000 1 kanal plots and few sectors are ready for construction. He spoke about DHA 6 and the mush rooming of houses in that sector. He emphasized that DHA maps don’t include the areas which it doesn’t have possession of the land. He dispelled the rumours that probably some plots have been shown in the map on areas which are yet to be acquired. “All those pockets which are not yet acquired will not be developed”, he said.
In the end he said that DHA is committed to delivering residential and commercial plots in time to its customers.
Analysis
1. Development of Phase 7 will be soon completed which will push the prices up.
2. The map may be redrawn to isolate those areas where the DHA has not been able to acquire land.
3. It also indicated that DHA is keen to hand over possession of the plots for construction.
4. It shows DHA resolve to develop DHA 8 soon after balloting. |
