limo replied on Wednesday, March 17, 2010 05:42 AM  I think that primarily its parents duty to safeguard their childern from such filth. I have locked all the channels that air moral wrecking stuff in my house and allow my kids to watch only light entertainments like cartoons, light but modest comedy, some fiction and few informative channels like discovery, animal planet,etc.We as Muslims are supposed to imbibe teachings of islam and instill deep religious thoughts in our children alongwith the worldly education. It helps them in growing up as individuals who are aware of their religious obligations and yet equally educated to impart their role / duties in the society.

Pak halat replied on Wednesday, March 17, 2010 07:19 AM  what did you think was gona happen, people in Pakistan are so surrounded by problems mainly with the lack of income that they use Cable TV as a way out, our youngsters watch these movies and follow the actors. The mobile companies have reduced the price of calls and SMS's so much that our young generation has nothing to do but to talk and chat with the opposite sex, even the people who don't have money to go to school. more than 70% of the population is unable to get proper nutritional food to sustain there body.

Kamran replied on Wednesday, March 17, 2010 07:41 AM  Despite that we dont have resources for proper living resources, yet it is a duty of the parents to ensure that their childrens are not taking wrong path. There could be initial reaction in the family if you stop the indian channels, especially star plus etc, but I would say sustain that pressure for the sake of the family. Amicabley let them know that it it not our religion, not our culture, not our values. I have already done this in my family, and believe me it works. All childrens wants their parenst attention and time.

mehrtex replied on Wednesday, March 17, 2010 10:28 PM  once an Indian politician said we can't win War against Pakistan,but we can only win through our films and t.v channels (cultural yalghar) our so called media(t.v channels GEO,ARY etc) is propogating Indian culture through showing their films and dramas and inviting their actors on chat shows. we should campaign that Govt of Pakistan should ban all Indian tv channels and showing of films in the cinemas.(by the way for your information you don't recieve Pakistani t.v channels in India)

Our government must act to block this culture yalghar on our society. On star plus indian just show the prettiest woman and wealthiest families which is less than .001% of indian population. In fact india is full of ugly and hungary population which you dont see on star plus. Hence our young generation is being brainwashed into thinking that indian culture and society is better than Pakistan. All they see on star plus is some cute chicks in 50 thousand rs a piece saaris parroting 100 crore this 100 crore that all the time. It's a pity that some of our channels like Geo, ARY etc also showing and promoting indian shows.
