Need Advise:
I seek a genguine advice from someone who has undergone such a scenario.Actually my passport is about to expire, within a week and my CNIC is already blocked because of duplication.I have applied clearance but Nadra does not tell any definite time as when it will be cleared. Now i will not be able to get my passport renewed as CNIC is blocked.I want to know whether is there any thing i can do other than just waiting.And once my passport is expired, will it effect my work visa also.Will my job remain safe even after my passport gets expired.I my in Saudia with my family.Please give some genuine advice or solution. I am afraid with the expiration of my passport, my work visa might get expired and hence my job will be no more.
Admn, please let it stay for a while and pardon for being out of context.

Please contact the Pakistan Embassy of your country. Inshaallah they will waive of this requirement for the time being and renew your visa for one year. This is how it was done for me by the embassy in Riyadh.

I agree with what zahid has mentioned. in case of old nIC or issue with CNIC, embassy renews the passport for one year. |

visa's and/or immigration status dont expire at passport expiry. just keep the old passport stapled with new passport. i have also heard of pakistani embassies renewing passport for one year in exceptional circumstances. |

Dont worry, you can still stay in Saudia with expired passport, If the things are solved in few months time. Only thing you cant travel or cant open any account etc in that period. It is common that passport expires . The only thing is that NADRA issue should be Fixed in one or two months. Would you elaborate why you got two Nadra cards?? |

Dear Ahsan,
No need to worry you can get your passport renewed and it will be initially for one year till you get your NIC corrected and then the same passport will be extended up to full 5 years.
Your work visa will not get effected even if your passport gets expired as it does not need passport in general.
The issue is why your NIC is blocked ?
if you have made an offense of law embassy can hold your case till satisfaction. |
