Dear CMY,
I can see open space on map between DHA phase 8 and Barki road marked as Phase 8 (additional to what was balloted). I want to find out what is this for? Would it be part of Phase 8 later?

this is the area against which punjab govt asked dha to pay if they want to add it into ph-8. looking at strong stance of punjab govt, army had to back-off. |

This is area owned by Punjab Govt and given at 99 yr lease to Army for army dairy farms. The Land was leased about 30 years ago. This time DHA wnated to Purchase this Land Govt of pnjab asked for 40 Billion Rupees. If developed DHA can sell it in only 18,20 Billion [development too cost about 5 to 7 Billion, Hence it was about 4 times expensive.]
DHA Lahore is looking at phase 8 with too much expectations, This is first time Land is sold instead of giving to army officers at nominal Cost. DHA is expecting through this phase they will get sufficient cash flow to complete many incomplete projects and fix many blunders dones in Past.
There are also rumors of too high development charges of DHA 8 file holders |
