Looking at your dishonesty and fabrication in your answer I cannot tell you how glad I am that you did not choose to live in DHA. Please NEVER change your mind.

Please beware. This is a totally fabricated story by Jameel sb. I don't know his bias or agenda though. I am amazed why he wanted to send his kids to a basement of 2 marla shop. Does this ..... think DHA residents send their children to study in basement of 2 marla shops. How he could only find imported things in DHA when other residents like me can easily find all local and inexpensive imported items easily in DHA.
To save even more money one can go once a week or once a month to any major wholesale stores like METRO, Macro, Hyperstar etc. For vegetable, fruits, and such items one can find best rates compared with any other area of Lahore within 5 minutes reach from anywhere in DHA e.g. Walton Rd, Qainchi, Defence Road, Nishat, Charar, Ghallas etc. There are also Sunday Bazars in DHA for buying cheap groceries and household items. Obviously like everywhere else in the world almost every household need item is available in sector shops of blocks of DHA. In major market areas of DHA like G, H, and Y block chains of all major pharmacies and stores like Gourmet with same price tags as rest of the Lahore are available. For other needs of life for example you can have a hair cut from Rs. 50 to Rs. 1000 it is your choice. You can dine from Rs. 25 a person to Rs. 1000 at your choice.
As far as education is concerned one can find best schools of Lahore from LGS, Beaconhouse, Ibn-e-Sina, Defence schools, etc. to LUMS, LSE etc. inside of DHA or well within reach. It is your own choice if you want to send your kids to 2 marla shop basement.
DHA has the best infrastucture, best trafic control, best water supply, best implementation of by laws, best maintained parks, masjids (no loud speaker speeches here), best maintained community clubs, best cinema in Lahore, best security and all other needs of life. All major banks, restaurants, stores for rich, upper middle and middle class. If anything is not available in DHA. It is not far and beyond easy reach.
Even the poor servants working in DHA homes can easily find groceries, household items and cheap schools for their kids in adjacent areas of DHA within few minutes walk from most areas and within 5 minutes cycle ride from the middle of DHA.
Hundreds of thousands of Happy DHA residents (most educated and brightest) are a witness to the above mentioned facts. |
