Dear Friends,
I need some information about foreign currency account in Pakistan. How it works? I mean is there any minimum requirement & do they charge on deposits/withdrawls. Can I withdraw FCY from ATMs?
Also remitting directly into the FCY A/c has heavy nostro account charges and are not known with assurance beforehand. Can anybody guide, is there any bank which has affiliations with foreign banks that can directly transfer funds without a heavy charge?

Rules differ from bank to bank. Usually deposits and withdrawals are free of charge. For foreign remittance both recipient and sender end up paying charges (typically each side pays around 30 dollars for up to 10,000 dollars of remittance). |

Its very eazy and also econimical to send remittances in USD however the withdrawls faciity from ATM is not available. Futher there is no charges of FCY withdrawls but you have to pat 0.03% on FCY cash deposit. on remittances h correspodant bank in US generallychage USD 30 per transaction. the mimum balance is USD 1000 is SAMBA Pakistan (Cres Bank)
