A SPECIAL committee of the Public Accounts Committee of the National Assembly has declared a deal between the Defence Housing Authority and the Evacuee Trust Property Board as clean, legitimate and legal.
The meeting of the PAC special committee was held in the Parliament House. It was chaired by MNA Riaz Pirzada while PAC members MNA Rukhsana Bangash and MNA Aaseea Nasir along with Chairman ETPB Asif Hashmi, officials of the Minorities ministry and Pardhan Sardar Sham Singh of Pakistan Sikh Gurdawara Parbandhak Committee attended the moot.
The special committee went through all the relevant records of the deal and found every thing to be in order and according to rules and regulations and found no irregularities whatsoever.
The Special Committee Chairman MNA Riaz Pirzada praised the work of ETPB under its chairman, Syed Asif Hashmi and said he was an honest person and PAC reposed confidence in his working. It said that any doubts in this regard should be buried. Sardar Sham Singh said that the Sikh community in Pakistan was all praise for ETPB Chairman Asif Hashmi and held no grudge or complaint against him.
