In Chinar Bagh 1 Kanal Plot Available at 12 to 15 lacs depend on location.

Do one have to pay zakat on land also?
Even if he has only one plot to develope his house.
Shall appreciate if somebody can tell in light of Islami Sharia.

On our side (wagha border) his name is ejaz saheb if he has been on the other side of border his name would have been karak singh. On land the tax collected is revenue (malia) and on production of land it is called ushar (10th portion. it is pity that being a muslim and living in an arab country he soes not have any knowledge of zakat or i may not cast an bad eye he is just pretending.

There is no zakat on any plot.

if property purchased for selling as business then u have to pay zakat. IF property purchased for house sonstruction then no zakat. Depends on your intention.
