People who dont know jack about economics and trade are writing articles and misleading general public. See, whether we accept this fact or not, INDIA is a power. Every Multinational focuses on BRIC countries as the sustainable growth havens ie B:Brazil, R:Russia, I:India and C:China. these countries are big, populated, growing and openely accepting investments. Now our liking or disliking of India cannot change this fact. Now if there exists an opportunity to be part of this trade, why are we hellbent on opposing it. If india has a stake here, why would they destabilise pakistan? It just does not create any economic sense at all. Secondly, who stops us from charging these trucks and making money through taxes. As long as this route is still economically viable for india, we can fetch as much money as we can. Thirdly, everywhere in the world lately, wherever development has taken place it has taken place in REGIONS. If European Union can sit and discuss economic free trade, what stops us from doing that. Why do we all consider ourselves expert in giving this statement that we will be losers and indians will be winners. Do we really know? Are we skilled enough to make this statement. And I am strong believer, if it is not a WIN - WIN situation, it will not last...But to see if it is WIN - WIN at least give it a try. |
