it is hard to believe but fact is that DHA-9 is not a good investment, time has proved this and who ever has bought in this phase has lost and some of them have lost very heavy amount.

A minor gain was observed when it was stated that files of DHA-9 is hard to find but again it looks there are more seller and no buyer. It is strongly suggested to keep your money in hand and do not invest in real estate,

rest asure you will have peace of mind and benifit as well.

I have heard that Gov has increased the Stamp Duty and CVT charges . May be this is the reason that the file price is droping.

DHA 9 ===STAMP DUTY/CVT
Dear CMY,
Refrence below from LRE Rates update,Is there any possibility in reality that PKR 900,000.00 just to pay CVT and Stamp Duty?If this is really the case, what will be DHA 9 future?


Please note there is confussion in market that Punjab Govt have increased the DHA 9 stamp duty and CVT tax from Rs 50000 to 4.5 lacs from July 1 2010. People are saying Punjab Govt is asking Rs 100/Sq foot for DHA 9 for stamp duty and same for CVT tax. DHA agenst association DHA Lahore and Punjab Govt in discussion to clear up things. This huge increase in Stampduty and CVT for DHA9 have halted all sale purchase and transfers for past few days.

I heard (pls verify yourself)there was a mistake in calculating the cost of DHA 9 file price so due to that CVT was increased. Govt. is looking into correcting its price value.

This recent fall in price of DHA 9-10 is due to confusion in transfers of DHA 9. DHA is doing transfers but is not issuing allocation letters until Punjab Govt notify exact amount of stamp duty and CVT. Since no DC rate is issued yet for DHA 9 according to law maximum Ra 100/ SQ yard should be charged as stamp duty or CVT. But in official notification they have typing error that Rs 1000 per sq foot will be charged. In this lazy society no body want to take charge and make change in official notification and change word Rs 100 per foot to rs per yard. DHA and dealers association want DC rate for DHA 9 to be declared at 12.5 lacs per kanal means 25000 for stamp duty and 25000 per kanal for CVT SO DHA 9 DONT FALL IN YARDS AND FOOTS GAME. State bank was taking 39000 for stamp duty and same for CVT from July 1 to July 25th.


We see dozens of buyers holding investment in DHA 9 until right amount is decided for CVT and stamp duty.
