Mr. CMY is right but in some other cities of country like Multan/Rahimyar Khan one kanal means 5400 sq ft & normal size is 60x90. There is very interesting background story, in past land was measured for purchase/sale by using walking steps of one person & incidently people in southern punjab were greater in height consequently larger step. Please donot consider it as a joke, I have witnessed sale/purchase of land with walking step when i was child.
So it is always better to mention size in terms of square yards like 500 or 600 (one square yard = 9 sq ft) |
