today i attended the meeting. IT was very bad experience for me. Annual expenditire according to statemnet is 6 crore rupees. and income is less. So basically it is in negative and controlled by property dealeers. There were many persons with guns and rifles too. police was there too.
Main disputed issue were
1. To remove patches in phase2 land, permission for handing taking of land between DHA and SL2 was asked. I asked to tell how to exchange land. Either it should be on equal basis or price per kanal be fixed then change of land be done.
2. 2nd issue was merger with DHA. They wanted a news in newspaper that merer is going on. I asked if is there any leter from DHA for merger? and if NO then first tell us TOR of merger in writting to all mebers and seek writen approval for merger. it should be predecided what type of merger we ofer to DHA such as location of plot, after merger size of plot, development charges to be paid to DHA should be informed first then start negotiation with DHA.I also asked when Dha asked for merger but could not received any answer from any administration member.
Ex president tried to have a speech on wrong doings of curent adminstration. Then they tried to push every one including me to shut our mouths. I talked to the government representatives that they should take note of our observations.
Adminstration wanted to consruct a boundary wall to phase 1, a cummunity centre and dispensary. But nothing for phase2. Reason for nondevelopment is environmental report and wasa obsevations. Which are not agreeable
Then the all committee members vanished and we were left alone.
We created a group of phase2 affectes. Fisrt meeting has been aranged in SL park this sunday at 4 to 5pm. We will select a committee to fight for our right.

First of all I would like to commend the efforts of CMY for offering a good forum to all who are looking to buy property in Lahore. The forum provides excellent information and different perspectives for potential property buyers. The effort is great. Please keep it up!!
Second, I would like to thank Mr. Shahid for his views about State Life housing society. Offcourse, that makes others a bit cautious generating less revenue for the society.. but provides people a different view on the things, other than the one presented by the dealers. I think even those who are not concerned by administration should join in the efforts initiated by Mr. Shahid and others. |
