For the same purpose I spent almost 10/15 days in Lahore last Sep & conclude the following:
1) Constructing a house is much better than buying from the market.
2) Construction is a full time job & expats cannot spend time themselves.
3) Construct ur home in broadly 2 stages, viz, Grey structure & Finishing.
4) I have drawn 24 sketch-maps (all floors) myself using MSvisio before getting it designed from the architect.
5) Construction rates vary, it is advisable not to go for very low rates.
6) Whatever timings you select there should be a min gap of 3 months between completion of grey & start of fininshing to allow natural drying process.
These days I am enquiring for grey structure rates for Basement 1400 sq ft., GF 2000 sq. ft., & FF 1400 sq. ft., if anyone can help to provide the same. |
