I wish to ask from the religious experts If there is any zakawt due on having more than one plots bought with the intention of someday selling them all and with the money obtained to buy a constructed home or to construct a home on one of the plots for self or for the childern. Hope some body will be able to answer this question on this forum.

Once a time I also also discussed with a Maulana (he is a DARS-E-NIZAMI) and he told me that which is plot is for investment and gaining purpose you must give zakawat and or if you have 100 plots for residential purpose means not for selling purpose there is nothing and you mentioned that one plot you will sell and then build your home then it mean you are waiting to gain the price/profit you should give zakat. |
