Need information about complete Medical Checkup,

Assalam-o-Alaikum all,

My parents will be visiting Lahore on Moharamm leaves. I want to have their complete medical checkup. Can anyone provide me information about complete medical checkup?
1) Does any hospital/LAB offers this?
2) Is there any standard list of tests in complete checkup?
3) Any good Dr. whom I can consult?

Dear Muhammdad,
Why your parents want complete medical check up?? do they have any complaints?? As in medical practice there is nothing like a complete medical check up.If patient has some problem then he can tell the doctor and then doctor after examining the patient , only ask for some tests according to the disease patient may have.
Human body is not like a car that you go to a mechanic and ask for complete check up of the car or engine.
If they have any medical problems please take them to a doctor .Otherwise if you go to lab there are thousands of tests ,which no one can afford and secondly even if they do all the tests who will check the results??

Actually I want to have complete checkup of my parents not they. They both are Alhamdo Lillah fine but I just want to have their tests as they are in their sixties. My father suffered heart attack around 16 years back but nothing after that. The only thing that they often report is joint pain.
But you know, being a son you always to see your parents healthy and happy.

In view of History of myocardial infarction(heart attack) and arthratic pain(joint pain).Also they are in their 60's.
I think regular checks from a cardiologist and may be a rheumatologists openion about joint pain could be sort.
In general above 40 year, one should consider once yearly general health check, even they are healthy.

Dear Muhammad,
I understand as son, you r concerned.If you dad had MI ( Heart Attack ) Plus now some joint pains,you may go to a specialist physician as he can treat both problems.He would ask for ECG , Some blood test + Chest X Ray.He may give your dad some medications regarding joint problems and to prevent further heart problems.
As I told you, there is nothing like '' general check up''.It all depends on any underlying past disease.
Just relax and Trust Allah, nothing will happen.

Because your Father had MI about years ago , It may be hoped that he has recovered uptill now. But for your satisfaction you can have ECG for your father, and if there is still any abnormality ,it will be visible. Moreover have complete Biochemical Blood profile and any general practitioner can tell you by viewing at the result if there is anything to concern. Most probably your father may may have some high cholestrol or triglycerides like most pakistanis and he will have to take some tablet may be once daily to lower it if it is high. Or if every thing is O.K he should just take a single tablet of Aspirin 80 mg that is commonly called Baby Aspirin to keep the blood thin and prevent any future heart problem. For joint pains they can take any pain killer like Voltaren,or feldene as per need.

My mom had hear failure some 10 years ago and she is on medication but now she is two week to even walk as she has diabetes, joint pains and all sort of mu scaler pains. she is 60 years old and over weight as well. the cardiologists recommend different Torrance tests but she is too week for any physical tests or angiography etc.

I want to take here for ex-ray, ecg, lipid and other blood tests and don't kn?ow if there is a place in Lahore providing all these facilities under one roof for patients on wheel chairs or structures?

Any place you guys can recomend?
