Now I would come to the real topic. I want a DHA Phase 9 file and I want you to arrange one for me however I have following questions:
How to differentiate between phase 9 or phase 10 file? If there is no way to differentiate then does that mean that some would get plot in phase 9 and some in phase 10? If this is true then what is the location of Phase 10?
What is the difference between allocation or allotment (I think second type is called allotment) file? Which one is better and which one I should buy and why?
What are the transfer charges? Is it 1.15 lacs in total?
I am not in Pakistan at the moment but can I buy the file without visiting Pakistan? Can my father buy on my name?
What documents are required?

OK friends I guess I have to give a detailed answer to clear up things about DHA 9 and DHA 10 :)
DHA 9 has allocation files and affidavit files.
If a person has 4 kanal agri land he sell this land to DHA free of cost and also agree to pay development charges in return of 1 kanal developed plot in dha phase of his land. DHA get registry of land and get land possession and after 3 4 months of legal checks etc DHA ask land owner to let them know who this one kanal plot will be alloted to. Land owner can keep the coming plot in his name of he could choose to give this right on plot to his other relative or any seller via an AFFIDAVIT. First transfer of this allocation plot is done by this AFFIDAVIT so its called affidavit file. Once affidavit is made to DHA that please allot my plot to this person DHA directly issue him an allocation letter.
An allocation letter is promise from DHA that you will get a plot of one kanal after paying development charges for the 4 kanal agri land given to DHA free of cost. After enough land is handed over to or taken over by DHA Lahore they do a ballot to give you plot number on your allocation file and same time allot a plot to military staff and you start paying development charges.( Keep in mind for 4 kanal land you get one plot and military person get one plot and leftover 2 kanal land is used for mosques commercials parks grave yards grid stations etc). After few installments are collected than DHA Lahore starts development of your plot with the money they get in installments as development charges.
Once you pay all due development charges you get an ALLOTMENT LETTER of you allocation letter.
When DHA started to get land for DHA phase 9-10 they named this phase DHA 9-10. But latter every one got confused and will always ask to DHA will I get a plot in DHA 9 or DHA 10. At that time DHA planed to have DHA 9 and DHA 10 and you had equal chance to get plot in DHA 9 or DHA 10. DHA could have drawn a vertical line or horizontal line and call each phase DHA 9 and DHA 10. But since every one was asking where is DHA 9 and when is DHA 10 DHA Lahore decided to rename DHA 9-10 to DHA 9 only. Now at each transfer of old DHA 9-10 letter a new owner gets letter for only DHA 9 so DHA 10 is eliminated and dont exist any more.
Recently DHA have asked Millet persons to apply for one kanal plot in DHA 9 as their next benefit for a ballot some time NEAR May 2011. So people in market are assuming whole DHA 9 will have ballot. In DHA 6 and DHA 7 military application were asked 3 to 4 months ahead of time to judge how many people in military need the plots. Now on same pattern GHQ is asking people to apply for DHA 9 plots.
At this point I cant say for sure what DHA plan to do for all files in DHA 9. They could do a small ballot for military staff only. They could also do ballot for ALL FILE HOLDERS as they have done in past for DHA 6 and DHA 7. This info is not available to me at this time so I am unable to make things crystal clear here.
DHA 9 allocation file sellers are at 15.15 to 15.20 today and the transfer cost for allocation letter file is Rs 1.16 lacs. After ballot you will pay min 10 lacs as development charges and these development charges will be paid in installmnets of three years.
You can buy a plot or file or house in DHA Lahore without traveling to Pakistan. All you need is your NIC copy two color pictures and copy of foriegn visa or passport.

It also clears perhaps that there is no intention of DHA to hold Parkview or other ballots. Seems to me that dealers are only creating hype for nothing. |

Once you have allocation letter you are ready for ballot. Membership is needed before the sale. |

Hello, I have the letter for DHA 9 file, but I havent been able to collect the file itself from Lahore, as I reside in Karachi. Is there some way DHA Lahore can send the file to Karachi, without my going there personally? |
