Is the ratios correct for DHA Lahore?
Masonry (1:5) 1:5 Masonry with Chenab Sand

That should be fine if watering is done for at least 3 days. And use best quality fresh cement. Dont go for "best bargain" for cement to buy few Rupees more is OK if seller is called reliable in Market. there is liot of Mixing in Cement |

Go for 1:4 and make sure there is no silt in sand Chanab sand is usually dusty. Preferably use Terbella sand . Certainly watering the bricks prior to plaster and soaking wet the plastered area for minimum 3 days is the key for good plaster. Buy SRC (sulfate resistance cement) it is slightly expensive but pay back in later stage and fights well against corrosion due to excess of lime in bricks |

For masonry, even 1:7 is ok but with Lawrencepur sand. |
