Beyond all the doubts the economic & financial situation in our beloved country is getting worst with ever diminishing investment and depleting water & energy resources. The outcry of masses & media is not been taken serious from the authorities, statistical facts being twisted, yet these are still not very promising; general condition of public health, safety & education is getting worst in a country, a country which enjoys all the four seasons, with fertile lands, rivers with world’s best irrigation system, mineral resources, mountains with forests & ice/water reservoirs, ports and presence in the area of strategic importance.
The counter-argument can be put forth that despite of all these mess many individuals are flourishing & many private/multinationals are performing. I term this as an absolute example of imbalance in the distribution of wealth & resources. Readers of this forum can well imagine the sheer difference in investment activities in the past & present.
Friends can figure out & can compare earlier days though not upto the standards but when common man was able to meet his both ends. Adding fuel to the flame are the cold-shouldered & humiliating chatter of the high-ups. They discharge their responsibility by lip-service & ill-fated, fake promises. Adding to this chaos is the religious factions using masses to their own benefit. In spite of excellent God-given intellect, mostly Pakistanis spend their evenings in front of TV screens bombarded with same news repeated thousands of time & mostly stupid discussions of their own agenda. A small minority is able to infer real message between-the-lines in all these discussions. I wonder if these media managers may raise their standards & help the nation to explore new avenues & developments in the fields of science & technology or to provide different case studies of development of other nations parallel to us.
… but this will not last very long. I would like to invite friends to share ideas of improvement at any level; be it an individual or for the masses. The interests & activities of the youngsters of have-nots of the society are directionless while that of elites are mostly in non-healthy activities widening the gaps between them. I do not foresee any short-cut solution rather my submission is that people of all walks of life help the nation to improve the education facilities in the country (both revealed & acquired knowledge) at all levels & spend time with youth to exploit their potential & to channelize their thoughts into the right direction. I also wish & pray if some media group may realize these facts & adopt the education as its policy; the results will be positive.

Dear all, Are you still expecting any change from these dummy leaders who have already been exposed from Wikileaks ? We the Pakistani society is on the brink of catastrophy and most of the blame lies on our corrupt military and civil leadership. Without any regret to say that they are incompetent, unprofessional, corrupt, keeping fake deggrees and selfish. They are working more for USA security rather than pakistanis security. We should get rid of them first before we start thinking of any change.Really media and we all are now tired of even criticizing them and without any change so far. They are very regid, hard with thick skin. God bless Pakistan and Pakistanis |

Hello, Shouldn't we be more concerned about security and corruption. The moment overseas Pakistani lands at airport thieves start to empty their pockets. I think we are tricked into democracy by our media and for justice now every one has to write application to chief justice. no one trust the system, President or PM. |

You trust Army General, who joined army as a soldier on a minimal salary aand retired having billions of cash and properties all over the world. who looted the country for more than 60 years, these army generals who ruled pakistan.. and still they are ruling indirectly because they have power of gun. power of gun is more than power of people in pakistan. everybody has seen the power of people in the past. |

The one and only one solution is to elect right people. But I wonder if that will ever happen. A few days ago, I had contractor doing some maintenance in my apartment. I asked him who will he vote for in the next election. He simply answered PPP. He added that it is so easy for him to get things done these days. He makes a phone call to MNA or MPA and ' har kaam ho jaata hai '. Now, we can imagine what kind of things was he talking about. Should we expect a change or improvement with such 'AWAM'. |
