I think the biggest problem of Pakistan is not cricket, it is just an innocent recreational activity that lets people forget about the harsh realities of life. One recreational activity and you have to bring Nafs and shirk into that and I am glad you didnt call it "Dajjal". Why are all Muslims so anxiouly waiting for the "Doomsday" and always in search of a new Dajjal and Mehdi. One day Tv is dajjal, the other day camera is dajjal, the next day an airplane is dajjal....an airplane for crying out loud.
I think the biggest problem why Pakistan is not progressing and its rather regressing is because of our beloved religion. In theory, it teaches tolerance and moderation and I fail to see it in practice. These religious fundamentalists always are asking for an Islamic system in Pakistan, I say put these members of different sects in one room and ask them to come up with the Islamic system for the country and they will come out in a blood bath. They all call each other Kafirs so which Islamic system will you implement in Pakistan?? Is it Deobandi, Is it barelve, Is it Sufi, Is it Wahabi, Is it Shia, Is it Ahl-e- Hadees. I guarantee you they all call each other Kafirs.
We need to keep our religion to ourselves rather than "laan Thaan' others for missing a prayer. Do you think God sent us to this world to become champion Namazis while every other issue like killing the innocent, human rights of women and minorities, intolerance, corruption, greed, etc. is alive and well. Something is wrong with this picture. Religion and state affairs should never mix.
And yes..if you missed a namaaz while watching cricket, dont kill yourself of guilt...I am sure Allah will understand that it was a crucial Group A match between SL and Pak. I am sure Allah doesnt have these petty human emotions of jealousy and narrow mindedness so relax...... |
