Lets reduce our power bills this summer by this simple procedure on roof. This would also indirectly contribute towards our society by reducing energy load on our country and environment.

1) For inch thickness the cement-sand ratio 1:2 is probably too aggressive.
2) The 'acrylic polymer' referred in post is probably known as 'Weathersheet' or 'Plastic Emulsion' in our markets.
3) Just a simple thin coat of pure white cement would probably do the job equally good at lesser cost, but the problems of durability may be tackled by repeated application annually if needed.
