From the glimpse of 2010,

The ever devastating flood in the known history of Pakistan in Jul/Aug 2010 left us sad stories of misery & desperation. Surely it was a forewarning from Allah to account for our actions. Beside Allah’s fair warning, even the secular forces of the world pointed out the cause of devastation was the years of corruption, which is touching its new heights. The international donors were willing to bail-out Pakistan but clogged by the perception of corruption all around.
I may be touching upon a forgotten issue with no direct link to the property business. I wonder if a potion of the foreign aid, remittance from expats, forex earned from exports & revenue from taxes would have been set aside for making dams to safeguard against any future catastrophe. Until now we should have come up with a clear policy to deal with these calamities & should have announced a mega project of preserving & channelizing water & energy resources. Another monsoon ahead three months to go & a huge short-fall of energy is awaiting but no feasibility study yet on same subject.
Remember, dejection is a sin. Thus, think positive & disagree agreeably. I would invite participants to share your views/ suggestions in this regard.

There is no long term Planning except paper work, This is another side effect of Third world so called Democracy that Govenment's Top priority remains short term acheivements and focus on coming elections,

NGOs on longer seem active in rehabilitation work or collecting donations anymore. At least they are not giving ads. If someone wants to make some small donation where should he look? Is Imran Khan's "Pukaar" still doing the work? Thanks.
