Pak marble is a blessing replied on Friday, April 22, 2011 03:11 PM
Generally whatever is installed quickly is not as durable. This should not have been the case with ceramic tiles, but as usual dishonesty and incompetence is prevalent amongst sellers, so the imported product (china) is bad quality and will not maintain its look. Local tiles have poor finish/quality regardless. If you can afford the expensive imported tiles (i.e. not china), then you can get what you're looking for. Even then, there is the risk the tile fitter will mess up the level, spacing or grouting. Recently had multiple experiences with tiles, and always disappointed. My opinion would be is to somehow manage the extra time/mess but go for local marble...cheap and durable. just a pain to install. Elsewhere in the world, marble is the finest flooring but for us it is 'ghar kee murghi....'. |
