Plot Filling with "sand" or "Mitti"?,

I have to do the filling of my plot (5 marla) as its about in depression and dpc will be completed soon.
is there any disadvantage of filling with "khaka or Mitti" instead of "Sand" because sand is gonna cost me almost double of it.

Sand (Daryaii Kassu) is much preferred for filing, where as many people also use matti for this purpose since its not as costly as sand! you can go for it, it does'nt cause much problem!

Kasoo is better it is mixture of miti and sand, it is good if you wnat to immediately make home, Like you Contracted a thekedar, on Labour rate or Lump sum, then Kasoo is best. It settles immediately, How ever there are reports of upto 1/2 inch settling for 2 feet filling. If Compaction is not good Your Floor can Crack.
Miti is best but there is no way you can make immediate Constriction, It Minimum needs one year time with some rains to settle and settles approx 10% of Filling, Like 2 inch per 2 feet.
In short best is You Make Foundation and fill with miti and wait till next season before making house.
If you want to make house faster or by Thekadar[Lump sum rate] then he will not wait next year so go for kasoo.

construction is ofcourse immediate, just a day or two after the filling.

there is no need to wait for one year.... make sure that the soil is not clayey...i mean it should not be "chikni mittee" place it layer wise not exceeding 6" make it moist ( apply water at optimum moisture content...in lay man term when "wattar" comes compact it when u put next payer spray water again and repeat the procedure ..in one kanal house it should nt be more than one week effort

sand is not used in filing. Use Khasso. Rate of mutti and khassoo is same. After construction of house before kaccha of flors, fill this area of khussoo with water. al compaction wil be atomatically done by watering kasoo. then constuct floors.

BEFORE putting khasso would you recommend to have termite done on the walls although first spray is already done at the time of NIAA...when the exvacation was done.

Since KASSU might have TERMITE so do you think one should have alll the NAHEE WALLS done with spray

actually termite proffing is done in three stages.
1, excavation. 2 kacha flooring 3 after wood work in wood by injection. alos now a days pipes are installed in underground to have termieteing at any stage.
khasooo is in bweten sand andin lahore it is 1700 or 1800 per trolly. nud. actually it is sand mixed with mud

A 10 Marla plot 10 feet deep from road need to be filled. How much filling will be required. I mean number of trolleys or cubic feet.

Never ever fill it with clay it’s will not absorb water, finally the moisture will climb through walls, kassu is actually 70% sand and 30% silt and clay. It can’t be used as sand thus it’s way cheaper than sand.
