Hello,
I have a small basement of 340 SQ FT for Servant quarters.
When we pour concrete for the side walls should we go for the roof also at the same time. Meaning make the walls and the roof same day when pouring concrete?
OR
Should we make the walls and wait for few days to dry and than go for the roof?
Whats the best way same day (wall & Roof) or in Splits?

Better do "monolithic" construction. This means cast walls, beams and floor at one time. also do waterproofing treatment by professional applicators to basement walls to add life to structure. This expense is future saving against seepage maintenance. |

it is better to pour seprately. IF shuttring of walls are poor then sag in walls will appear. This sag can not be repaired with platering. If you are sure no sag will occure in walls then u can poure both simulatenousely. |

Monolithic construction of walls and beams / floor is always is stronger. Shuttering is off course a point of utmost consideration but in my opinion any professional contractor will take care of it. Remember, even with the best workmanship nobody can seal the joint between walls and floor if casted separately due to old and new concrete surfaces. Concert has only 1/2 to 1 hour initial setting time.
For water proofing, better brand is Bitumat (Google it) or check from any SIKA or similar product suppliers. Waterproofing is expensive but offsets the price of any maintenance arising from water ingress / seepage which surely will happen in basement and will cost a lot financially or psychologically.
