I am living in Riyadh and my daughter is studying in Grade 2. Currently She is in one of the indian school called DPS,
These days i am thinking to move her to Manarat al Riyadh.
Please sahre your kind views for schooling in Riyadh.

Hi Shahzad,
I have visited many schools in riyadh for admission of my daughter. Manarat is best for expats. Otherthan you go for learning caravan, American School near exit 13 or british school.
Another new school is open. Its name is british islamic school.
These are all expensive schools. So do your workout first. Dont even think of any pakistani school. Extremly bad environment. |

Dear Shahzad,
There is a Pakistani School in Sulaimania, Riyadh.
The reputation of this Pakistani school is much better all the other schools in Riyadh. 80% students of this school get all A's in O level and A level.
Please visit the school and ask all the questions yourself.
Monthly fee of this school is also very resonalble, I think it is around 700 riyals monthly per student.

PISR (Pakistan International School Riyadh). Classrooms are small and they enrolled more students than required. Without approach (wasta) you cannot get admission. If you know someone in pakistan embassy then you can get admission. This school is near Panda supermarktet on arooba street. All the nearby roads are jammed due to locality. If you opt for school bus then your kid should leave around 5:30 in the morning and he will be back around 2:30 to 3:00 depending on your location.
One of my relative has worked in that school in admin section. But still i agree it is better than any other pakistani school. Now you can think level of study in pakistani schools. |

I am planning to move to riyadh with in next couple of weeks. Kindly advise me some good school for my daughters grade 10 and 8 O level and sons Grade 3 and KGII O level. Kindly also give me guidance regarding accomodation shall i go for villa in compound or flat.Plz advise acording to the living environment there and family safety. |

Accomodation depends on your income & budget. Best is villa in a compound. It is expensive but you'll find quality of life and social activities as well. I think KSA is the best for family safety. Riyadh has life if you know how to socialize. Im here for last 10 years and i enjoy living in Riyadh. |

Many thanks for your quick reply, so you recommend PISR(Pakistan International School Riyadh). Regarding compound villa kindly give some range to make up my mind if i can afford or not then will go for flat but what are associated risks to flats, kindly advise. |

My 4 kids are studying in PISES(Pakistan International School Eng. Section) and i am so happy about it that i would recommend it as the best school for our community. The school is very economical i.e. fee ranges between SR for regular KG to A-level classes. Rearding residence can be found around at between 24-nolimit depends on your choice. I agree with your point that it is not easy to get admission in this school due to its limitation but result wise it has very good. |

I MUST SAY THAT OUT OF THE LOT I FOUND THIS SCHOOL GOOD WITH LOT OF VISION AND HAVE QUALIFIED STAFF
THIS SCHOOL IS AFFORDABLE AND HAVE SAR500/MONTH FEE
PAKISTAN SCHOOL BRITISH SECTION IS ALSO BEST BUT FEES ARE ABOVE 1000/MONTH
NOW CHOICE IS YOURS |

My Kids are also in AL-JAWAHIR and i can say its good option after PISR.

Many thanks and jazzak Allah Khair to all contributors, I still need your help and answer my following queries;
1)Kindly arrange to provide direct email address of the registrar to enquire about admissions,academic year starting (sept,or Apr).
2)What docs and attestations are required such as TC's etc when we are moving from Dubai to Riyadh.
3)Have any body checked indian schools also offering good quality education? Or any American/British school if any body can recomend. |

Dear muntazir,
You need School leaving certificate,Iqama & passport copy of your child, Vaccination card (if child 3 or 4 yrs.), Birth Certificate. Some schools might ask you letter from employer (pathetic). 2 snanps of child. this is like common for almost every school.
They might ask for test if they think you child school and education is not of their level.
Indian schools are also good, even sri lankan schools are also good. They prefer their nationalities and then if seats available any other nationality. A year back they were allowing any student but now there are some new directives from ministry of education.
Why i know all this because I hunted a lot a best school for my daughter quiet recently. |

a.o.a. am new in ryadh n my residence is in Al-iskaan...plz advise me a good standard school which is affordable as well...my boy is 5 years old.n wht time we go 4 addmision as i think schools r now closed due to summer vacations...n wht is cant get addmision in PISR....n wht about pvt. schools? |

I think the jwahir is good option for us. If the parents want child study with different nationalities than British section of jwahir is good. Other wise studying with Pakistani students only should admit in Pakistani section. |
