Dear CMY,
As you are living in DHA Phase 6, could you please confirm if sui gas is available there or not? If NOT any idea when would it be available?

Few houses in DHA6 J bloc have Sui Gas turned on now but other blocks residents are waiting in line. Sui Gas piping from DHA Lahore end is ready in most blocks / streets but no new demand notices are issued by Sui Gas Dept as there is a nation wide ban on new connection from prime minster.
Most people buy a Gas cylinder that connects to existing gas piping in house. It costs Rs 5000 and runs for 4 to 6 weeks.

There is no nationwide ban, if you pay 15000 to 30000 bribe to Sui Dept staff your gas with meter is provisioned in 24 hours. I was forced to go through this just recently. |
