Profit is Halal but Profit earned by Fraud is Not Halal,

You might be surprised that margin of Profit in certain Commodities is Not 1 or 2 % Rather Varies from 20 to 50%,
Medicines 20 to 25%
Cosmetics 20 to 50%
Groceries 20% [excluding few]
Jewelery Gold 15 to 20%
Jewelery Non Gold Diamond etc 20 to 50%
Watches [Higher end] 25 to 50%
Stationary 15 to 30%
My Brother is having a store and I was astonished to Know, he told small shop justifies that he needs Minimum 1000 per day profit form 5000 sale, The big store who gives minimal discount as compared to small shops are real earner, as they earn upto 100,000 Per day if sale is 5 lac. There is almost one store in each Mohalla in Lahore which have more than 5 Lac sale per day.

I don't consider these margins halal. In many deals even though I am 100% right on my end dealers on other side is always making some thing in shape of some margin from his client( This happens only if deal is not through my direct buyer to my direct sellers. I let buyer sellers sit face to face for each direct deal to make thing crystal clear. I have no fear of getting caught and sleep well on nights). I cant stop others from this practice but before I do this practice I will change my trade as Allah have given me enough resources brain and strength to make living the Halal way.

Dear CMY and 12345

All profits are halal as far as not earned through cheating/ lie or fraud. I know certain deals where people made more than 100% profit without cheating. I. Islam there is no restriction on profit percentage.

Mahmood

Yes, I have business in UK and I usually try to find goods where I can earn 100% profit, But it's a hard work to find goods selling price and cost of purchase to achieve that margin. I don't think it is Haram if I find a good product still at cheap price for my customers and they are usually very happy with the price and product.
