India spends US $ 11.6 billion on education each year (one third of their defense budget). On the other hand Pakistan spends only US $ 0.6 billion (one sixteenth of Pakistan's defense budget).
Therefore, India covers one year what it takes us to cover in 15 years in the field of education and producing skilled people.
We can build our software industry by producing graduates but for that to happen we have to increase our Education budget by 5 times at least. Nearly 48% of Pakistan's population is below 18 yrs of age. They need education which must be our top priority. |

india is way beyond our imagination now. All this credit goes to Mr. Sing who opened 12 universities at the level of Harward plus all other universities. They are producing 2 million engineers every year and supplying it to other countries. They have training centers which they just teach you what you need in IT related in USA and they are good to go in six months with H1 visa.And on top of it, All call centers are already in India. I work for big wirless company and alls our IT related issues goes to india and somebody from there pick up the phone and they trouble shoot live with their indian english. |

And one more thing, India got rid of this FA/ BA degrees long time ago because they figure it out that this was created by british because they needed clerks to manage their office files because British had thier own people for management purposes and for clerks or other duties they created this FA/BA thing and in pakistan we still stuck with FA and BA degrees which doesn't teach you anything. |

There is no or very little hope to catch up with India but we can only try by putting our spending priorities right and for that to happen we must cut down our defense budgets immediately. |
