What phase are we talking about ?

@Khalid Hassan Syed.

In future, most probably, property tax will be based on the plot size & total floor area. Further if more than one houses are owned by one person mode of taxation will cause higher amount of tax to be paid. So, I think, it is better to buy a pair of plots but on the name of two different persons eg two brothers or father & son.

Keeping in view the fact that Pakistan is a seriously energy deficient country it is need of the day that we now go for well designed, energy efficient, small comfertable houses keeping in view our family size.

To compensate for courtyard or green area within the house the developers should ensure good sized, well planned parks/green area are provided in each scheme.

Bahria Town Lahore & Rawalpindi can be cited as good examples.

Kind Regards.

In most societies if 1 kanal plots are owned in different name you cant merge them and make a house on 2 kanal.

I think its better to buy a 2 kanal plot to avoid some furture troubles in tax etc. For now if you buy 1 kanal plots pair it costs lot less than 2 kanal but disadvantage is a a kanal pair plot will have 1 kanal plot on its sides but a 2 kanal plot will have 2 kanal plots n its sided. People who buy large plots are very picky about this point. They want to live next to rich person like them. For them 10 marla plot owners are not as good as 2 kanal plot owners :). This is reality we face each day.

@Usman Butt.

I pray to Allah (SWT) to fulfill your desire of a large house in the suburbs of Lahore. My friend try to be realistic. I did not mean what you have said. Try to find time to have a look on the 8 marla plots of Ali Block of Bahria Town Lahore in the vicinity of plot no. 200 so that you will understand what I mean.
I also second your proposal for the government to take steps to discourage migration from rural to urban areas. But govt resources are not unlimited.
Let us be honest to ourself. Let us ask ourself at the end of everday "What did I do today? Was it right?
