Heard from few different sources in market that DHA Lahore is going to start development work in Sept 2011 and will complete it by Sep 2013. Please wait to see the actual development work starting or at least wait till DHA Lahore official announcement in this regard.

This info could help DHA8 prices but please no buying selling based on just this gossip in market. Many times people spread these type of things to take advantage of others.

I dont own a plot in DHA8 and for me buyers and sellers are equally respectable and important.

Before adding this market gossip I was thinking for an hour about should I post this info online or not as this may be true and this may be just hot air.


I need guidance from friends here should I share this kind of un confirmed or un official things with you before hand or should I wait for an official announcements and then inform you?

Please keep on shearing with us this kind of hot news even that is just hot air as you mentioned, because as we are living far from the homeland but with that still can enjoy our tradition and gossip which can be very useful for our future plan as well.

Dear CMY, if you have clearly mentioned with the post that it is unconfirmed, its absolutely fine in sharing.
I have noticed that recently, you have been under a lot of pressure while providing your opinions. Its your forum and you should not be afraid of what people think because you are honest in what you are doing. You can never make everyone happy. You have always mentioned that decision remains with the reader, and thats it.
I really dont know why the honest and hardworking are brought under so much pressure in our country.

I think that you can share as long as there is a strong warning in it that it is most likely incorrect until officially confirmed by DHA.

Dear CMY Bhai,
Your are over and above then an ordinary man in real estate business and your saying has weight. Certainly your prediction can swing the market either side so you should only share what is factual and or going to be true. There are enough people to make rumor and believe on them but when you filter these type of news with your experience it should fall in true.

I believe you should only share when you are confirm and not in doubt and similarly you should alter when see a rumor can effect soft target buyers.

Further there is no need to be NO.1 in releasing un-confirmed news, we need to change the mind set and stop generating and spreading rumor and should learn to wait unless it is not confirmed.

It is vey sad we believe a news is a guessed and no more a news when actually take place.

Dear CMY please can you explain what is your defination of "Complete" even phase 5 does not have ptcl access or phase 6 does not have water or natural gass?

is phase 5-6 ring road interchange complete?

I think their is shortage of funds and DHA is just running to new phases to make money and not dilivering in previous phases

Rather than talk about what's wrong and right, let's talk about the main topic: development work in phase 8. Start of development in phase 8 is way over due. DHA never takes this long between ballot and start of development work. They may start some blocks first and leave some very late but usually they start some sort of development in a year from ballot. So i assume it should be any day now that DHA will start development works in phase 8. So I have no problem with september 2011 rumors. What I don't agree with it is that DHA will finish till 2013. DHA CAN NEVER develop phase 8 in that time frame. Phase 6 started in and it's recently it has taken some shape. Phase 7 was started in 2007 and even now its probably at 70%. I will say DHA will finish phase 8 by 2015 at the earliest.

I also agree with DHA over development time. Looking at the previous phases and the condition of the area of DHA 8, it may take at least 6 to 7 years of development time.

The phase - 8 development charges are payable in 12 quarterly installments starting from June 2010 and ending in March 2013. One can expect to have a developed plot after payment of all installments in March 2013. So DHA has to complete development work by March 2013.

All DHA 7 development charges have been collected in 2009 and the development has not even started in many blocks. Similar was the case with all the previous phases but again may be Phase 8 would be very different so keep on hoping for the best.
