Can you please share detail of your agreement with Younas Bhai. Did you opt for turn key solution or labour only? What rate did you pay per sqft? How much it costed you in total?

My house was built by Younas Bhai in G-13 on 35x70 plot. It includes basement, gound, 1st floor and one 'mumty' room. Top class consutction, completed within around one year. Rate was around Rs 1600 (plu/minus). I paid him one million in advance and then kept paying during the course of construcion. He arranged everything for me e.g. map, approvals, connections etc etc. House was rented out after completion to two tenants. Younas Bhai is also acting on my behalf in collection of rent and other matters etc as I am living abroad. For more details, please feel free to write on

Thanks you guys for sharing contractors info. I would appreciate if there is some website or forum thread where people can share construction material price on daily or weekly basis.

this website has more information than you can find elsewhere. For example, for any society such as DHA or Bahria, u can find more info and pictures on this site than all other sites combined including their official websites.

Here they have some construction and building material info but not as much as you demand but still more than other sites

Please donot look honest or not honest Do proper contract with all and clear detal and quility of metarial as per the rate. keep som one from your family to keep checking the metarial and quility during construction. I am in favour to give contract with metarial because un experiance people purchasing metarial 50% more than actual price.Good construction could be done Rs1400 to 1600 per sq/foot.
It is not easy to say who is honest or not honest both parties should go according to deal and contract.

i agree 110% with overseas help line. you have to evaluate, suspect all contractors unless they are proven innocent and even after u make decision you have to keep checking. You can even install a mixture of real and fake web cameras on site to view and give impression that they are being watched

> Prefer contractor already working in Bahria and can provide u list of his clients for reference.
