AHORE – Setting another example of misuse of powers by the members of ruling parties, Punjab Assembly Deputy Speaker Rana Mashhood Ahmad Khan and MNA Mian Marghoob Ahmad are using the premises of a Wasa office for political purposes. The injustice does not end here as the expenses are to be borne by the Wasa, The Nation has learnt.
It also emerged on Monday that the politicians have been using about half of the premises, which also serves as the waste water disposal center, since a couple of years by taking advantage of being the elected representatives of the ruling party of the province.
The Wasa office is situated on the Main Boulevard of Gulshan-e-Ravi Housing Scheme, near the Ring Road. They are also benefiting from the able support of some Wasa high-ups, who seem having no knowledge of the problems and difficulties being faced by the Wasa employees who have been compelled to use the compound of the office for discharging their official duties.
When this scribe visited the office, he witnessed officials registering public complaints while sitting in the compound of the office. On the other hand, the homely condition of some of the rooms, under the use of these political figures, gives a pleasant feeling as the rooms have costly furniture and are adorned with wood work. Not only this, the walls are also freshly painted and attached baths and kitchens are being constructed with colorful costly tiles.
