Hi,
I am currently in Texas, USA and I want to apply for DHA Lahore plots.
I have all the forms ready but i been to 2 - 3 local US banks( Bank of America, Chase) to make the US dollar Demand Draft as it stated in the application but they have no clue what is the demand draft is.
I told them i search online and also show them the application but they said they don't make demand drafts.
Is anyone is USA please tell me how they made the demand draft if they have applied for plots.
I want it to know is this is possbile to send the application to a realtive in lahore and then they make the pay order in RS and then submit the application but it will have my US present address will it make a difference?.
or is it better to used the Pakistani address as a present/permanent address and then submit the application locally in RS.
My NICOP has both US and Pakistani address will it make a difference too.

Demand Draft is same as certified cheque |

Rehman bahi you can make a cashier check from any USA bank and send it with your application. Cashiers check is same like demand draft in many countries.

Yes you can send application to Pak and it can be submitted here with local pay order but application must have original sign on application. If some one else try to copy your sign or they are computer printed or faxed application DHA may cancel your plot if you get one in the ballot. Please dont take risk to have some else to sign form on your behalf.

If possible please use Pakistani address even if you are depositing money in $.

1 two demand draft in dollar for one application are acceptable or not?
2 only us adress on application is acceptable ?
3 If i am not lucky to get the plot then dha will gave me the money in dollar or rupees. |

1) Two drafts should be ok
2) Only USA address will be ok and acceptable. But keep in mind a personal applying for this must have Pakistani NIC or NICOP. To buy property in Pakistan its a must.
3) Most likely you will get money back in Rs or in $ at the conversion rate on that day but you must varify with DHA. |
