Capital administration reviews arrangements at Rawal, Simly dams

Deputy Commissioner (Islamabad) Amer Ahmed Ali has informed that teams of the ICT administration, comprising assistant commissioners and magistrates, are keeping a constant contact with officials of the Rawal Dam and Simly Dam to ensure arrangements for protection of life and property of people in the catchment areas.
In this regard, assistant commissioners and magistrates visited the Rawal Dam and Simly Dam on Monday in the wake of heavy downpour and reviewed protective arrangements around streams and ‘nullahs’ and ensure protection of people and their cattle.
Assistant Commissioner (Saddar) Islamabad Fariduddin Mustafa and Assistant Commissioner (Industrial Area) Imran Ali Sultan visited sectors I-8, I-9 and I-10 and reviewed arrangements to ensure protection of life and property of people. They informed people through announcements not to go near ‘nullahs’ in any casem. They also held meetings with school officials to keep their buildings ready for setting up of relief centres.
Assistant Commissioner (Rural) Islamabad Saba Asim, Assistant Commissioner (Secretariat) Umar Asad and Magistrate (Secretariat) Hussain Bahadur visited low-lying areas near Rawal Dam, Simly Dam, Korang Nullah in Bhara Kahu and Sihala and informed people through announcements to shift to safer places and keep themselves away from ‘nullahs’.
