DHA Phase 6 & LRR,

Reply:
Today I was reviewing the constructed parts of LRR and I am totally shocked because before I had visited the site and was under the impression that LRR has been completed to a large extent but shockingly there is a very big gap between the Airport section and the Phase 6 section which leads me to believe, what or even why is this interchange even important, with out connecting to the rest of LRR this is just a huge structure obstructing the path to Phase 6. on the opposite side it goes to phase 4, sui gas, which already had access from existing roads, so plainly I don't understand the big fus over this interchange.
Now the problem is the giunja hakoomat will go in 1.5 years and I don't think they will be coming back any time soon at least not for the next 5-7 years and right now they are out of funds so :o bad bad. The same goes for the people expecting huge returns when LRR hits Bahria Town Lahore, :) this aint happening for the next 10 years for sure.

Mr Thinking
I have already discussed & inquired about this serious issue but no body responded positively.Actually there is a huge gap bet Airport & Ph 5,6 interchange.Similarly almost 3 km gap from sui gas to ferozepur road. This i have checked from google(may 2011). If these two gaps are not completed, northeren LRR will not be fully commutable.I think southern loop starts from ferozepur road.
I hope somebody from our readers will give us informative reply ASAP.
I am copying my previous request. thread # 447 dated 20 july2011

@ Thinking,
that huge gap picture part is note updated by google. This image is from 2-feb-2010 more than a year old. Better visit or travel to check the progress.
Southern loop Ring road starts from suigas and gov don't have fund to start. I heard that land acquiring is in progress.
Punjab government focus now is LRMTS (metro).

Work on Lahore Ring road have been slowed mainly due to shortage of funds.
Lahore ring road up to DHA 8 interchange is now complete and open for traffic.
DHA 8 to DHA6 part of Lahore ring road is now ready for black top. Some parts have been black topped.
Interchange on DHA 5 / 6 of Lahore ring road is 90% complete. Within two to four weeks they may start land scapping work here and within month or max upto Sept 30th State Life 1 to Moterway all parts of Lahore ring road should open for traffic.

I often visit this area and even take my car on top of bridges just to be 'the first' among the people I know.
LRR upto state life will complete very soon. The two interchanges, one for Phase 8 near Eden and Netsol is Huge and complete as traffic is running, one interchange near Phase 5-6 is also very big and 90% complete.
Work is in progress and it will be complete in a month at most.
The LRR is truly an international class road with huge project and maticulous planning. This is going to be a gift of Shahbaz for people of lahore for many many years to remember just like Motorway.
From statelife onwards there is no progress as I often go until the very end in my car.
