Dear Halal Business Jazak Allah Khair for your kind words and advices.

During this time we need some innovative ideas to generate new businesses. Giving money to somebody to do generate money for us is a big mistake.

Please advice :

1. How to check the purity of Milk?
2. How to transport the Milk without spoiling it, and in what packing?
3. Which medium is used for the advertisement of the products and how?

Please advice so that we can proceed accordingly

Thanks very much brothers for nice words

@ Brother MM
Really as per our experience the quality check was and still is “standing at the top of the Buffalo’s barn during milking process”.
The gravity meter will tell nothing if the milk is made heavy (I do not know how they make it denser). Heavier density/gravity, meter would show 100% purity. So meter will serve nothing and useless!
My friend used ice blocks, covered with “Borees” (Sorry for my English) with simple pedestal fans running behind the blocks and throwing cool air to the milk containers. When He was able to switch over to freezers, He had to leave on personal reasons. He was running his business from one of the rooms of his flat in I-8.
The milk from the source came through by-cycles, ran by his paid porters! Actually He paid no salary to any one except the milk producers. We all were share holders in the business
The “Maiees” (elderly women), the porters and the boys who took care of the ice block and prevented then from falling on floor as falling sound was like a blast in night. Those boys loved sleeping and being on standby duty in the cool and well air-exhausted room. We did know what was meant by load shedding in those times!
The storing was just for shorter times as his bleep was constantly texting within 20 KM of Islamabad area. There ware very rare occasions where we had to store large amount for night.

Brothers, we learned a very good business lesson and a perfectly workable tool. We thought that the sale would be a problem but for us “PURCHASE” was a problem. Sale was no problem at all, well, problem in the sense that we were not able to meet the demand. At the last season when we departed, mine selected for Gulf and him to Karachi, our mangoes were the most lucrative business.

The medium we used for the ADs was the local paper man to take our ADs to customers with free samples.
I think we have developed so much today but unfortunately not in business honesty and that s where the money lies now in Pakistan.
Let us look from this angle:

Why are we straining our eyes at the very moment and in every morning at LRE?
I did not have any experience with LRE guys regarding property selling/disposing but the way things are happening on this website, I can anticipate honesty! Yes just anticipate. I will surely try LRE if I ever have a chance to invest in Lahore, based upon just a hope of honesty, in my case!
If they are really honest guys! How much advertisement would they get, alone, from me?
I think same must be happening with Mian Nadeem Sahab, as his comments are honestly written and showing his hard work in property area.
The question about using the modern techniques, now Internet is the best medium and also old primitive ways, we used!

Small cold storage is easy and less expensive to build. Guest houses in Islamabad will never let you to deliver your pure milk to any other customer! And mangos in season and Chukki Ata And “Desi Honey” And!!! This AND will never finish, if you make yourself committed to Halal Business.
Please understand again that I am not after the monitory benefits from anyone, I cannot afford an unknown person to share with me. If I ever do, I have to go for my old friends whom I know from schools and college and have seen them and their families for decades.

Thanks

There are some farmer-oriented "Milk Analysers" available from China, which can give pretty accurate details of milk contents like water, fats, proteins and lactose.

I think if used with occasionally a small microscope, such device may be quite difficult to dodge.

Dear

Our profit ranged from 0 to 300%, some item totally “no gain no loss”.
But now I think good packed milk is available, one needs to start not from the milk.
Start form “Chukki Ata” and free samples of milk and other items will put the business on track.
The trick is the home delivery, the purity, the promptness in delivery, the quantity keep up, the attitude of porters towards the clients and most importantly NO salary at all. Share in the profit.
We had only a little posh area in Islamabad available for our business back in late 80’s but now sky is the limit, The Defense townships, BT, Fizaia, you name it I got it.
I think if one is looking to start from the “Ata business”, in Rawalpindi/Islamabad, the first step may be to take a plot in Rawat Industrial estate (15 Lacs, good plot). Work out the cost of a small Silo for at least 500 Mond’s (I need to work out cost, for mine). Solar cell unit (5 lacs) to keep Silo’s exhaust and lights running. Fax, phone, and call recording, Internet connection. A UPS for communication equipment back up, “Chukki Units (10 lacs)”, a good research in the local grain market for the best quality wheat delivery without interruption throughout the year, nicely printed bags, bicycles, Suzuki Vans and All certificates from ministry of food, production and whatever required to do a legal business.
