i have a plot in phase 6 sector c
i want to transfer it to my son's name. i want to gift him the plot.
what is the process of gifting a plot and what r charges for gifting in phase 6,

@Ali Abbas.

What is wrong if you keep this plot in your name? Who else other than your son is going to inherit it after you? To inherit this plot your son will not pay more than what you will pay now to gift him this plot.
We are lucky to still have people like afaz & sincere advice among us in Pakistan.

we dont know AA's situation, he mght have his own house already and wants to gift the extra plot to his son and besides, its his personal matter and who are we to give him advise on how to deal with his family. If anyone knows about the details of how to gift, let him know and it will be more productive.

mr sk well said.we dont know his circumstances.any body who buys plot in dha in minimum 50,60 lacs he can not be a stupid man.

It was a simple question, asking about the procedure to transfer plot to his son. If any one knows the answer, please reply him.

Mr Ali Abbas, I am not a legal expert but I guess it can be done under " Hiba Zabani Bila Ewaz For Majors" under relevant provisios of Mohammedan Law.The recipient has to accept the gift and take possession of the said property. The gift has to be formally documented on legal paper and witnessed by two adult individuals and then registered with local authorities.
Some legal expert or religious schollar can elaborate or comment on the correct procedure as I won't be able to answer any further questions or clarifications.

For transfer from father to son transfer fee is reduced from 51000 to 12000. You also dont have to pay any CVT tax on HIBA transfers but you do have to pay stamp duty membership fee and other DHA fees.

In a normal transfer of DHA6 plot you pay approximately Rs 164000 for transfer charges but for a HIBA transfer you will pay only about Rs 84000.


Rest of the transfer process is same. Both buyer seller must come to DHA office. Plot should be litigation free and must have a dues clear before transfer.

My advise don’t Transfer in your Son or Daughter Name. Keep it in your name you don’t know when you need money at that time no one will help you. Please read Surah Nisah Ayet 11, 12 & 13. Property (Assets) will only transfer by Wirasat if you have wife, son and daughter it will be divided among them. You can only give 1/3 from your Assets to those who are not Wars. Allah said who do not follow rule of Warasat and cross the boundary which define in Surah Nisah Ayet 14 they loose everything.

Actually i want to gift him that plot on his marriage. i am also planning to build a house before his marriage.this will be a evergreen gift for him as having a 1 kanal house especially in dha is a dream for everybody.when i will gift him then he has not to worry about for a house in his life. i have my own house so i am not worried about future of relationship between me and my son. i also got property from my father so its the right of my son.

by the way what will be construction cost of the house if we build a house of covered area not more than 4500 square foot.

Rate of construction in DHA Lahore go from min 1450 to 2500 per sq foot covered area.
