This isn't property related so I hoye CMY sahab that you are fine with it and thank you in advance. I recently finished my undergrad in Accounting and have gathered one year experience working in Oil/ natural gas industry. To members in middle east, I wanna ask about opportunities for me in couple if years and pay/ life style in middle east? Also if anyone knows, which designation would contribute more? CMA or CA? Any other professionals please feel free to share your experience, pay, life in middle east.

I think CA is best choice. Just remember one Slogan
Number one in Numbers are Chartered Accountants.
Pakistan CA are in high demand if you are from well reputed chartered accountant firm.
I am CMA, CA, CIMA and CFA. But I consider CA on the top. |

I am working in Basel.
I passed ACMA (Pak), ACA (PAK) and CIMA in Pakistan.
Passed CFA in Dubai.
I am very much satisfied with CA (Pak) qualification and where I am now is just beause of this qualification.

Raheel, you surely have accounting, finance vastly covered. The reason for this post was that currently CA, CMA merger discussions are ongoing. This will combine both designations overtime into CPA if result favors that. CA is only done through a private accounting firm here whereas I can do CMA with my current employer. For me again ACCA, CIMA....... are qualifications. Its nice to have but not must have in Accountancy & Finance field.
