A few posts were put out by Mr Dan Shaw over the past couple of weeks about Chinar Bagh. It has caused wide spread concern. We have heard nothing from the Management on the factual position so far to clear the doubts so created.
I understand that Cooperative Deptt (the Regulator of all Societies)is the watch dog who must gaurd the interest of all members. They attend all AGMs and also receive reports/complaints etc. If an inquiry has been ordered by them, we should wait fot the results. In the meantime Society Management must send a latest news letter to all members about all affairs of the Society and its latest status.
I recommend that Inquiry Committee, if one has been formed, must conduct a thorough probe into all allegations. They must conduct a detailed financial audit,Scrutanize all contracts, conduct a detailed technical land audit, varify allegation of downsizing of plots if any, conduct a thorough quality check of Development possibly from NLC or FWO or any other leading civil works agency/Lab and all other allegation and let members know of the results through a press release. Thanks Jameel replied on Friday, September 16, 2011 08:33 AM
I has been in contact with this Guy and his main allegation was that Cooperative society has been collecting CVT more than the prescribed rate by Govt at the same time he mentioned that they had been Collecting stamp duty less than Govt rate. He explained that society had been collecting these taxes 14000 per Kanal more than actually should have been. It can be mismanagement /lack of current Info or corruption on part of society as CVT and stamp duty has charged 4,5 times in past 6 years. I am also surprised why certain societies are collecting these Taxes where as I always paid these taxes directly to state bank. |

@ Jameel Sb, CVT issue is totally different to what has been alleged by this gentleman on his posts. CVT has been amply explained in Post # 55356 and it is deposited direcly and not collected by the Society as you very rightly observed. Chinar Bagh has therefore been induldging in a wrong practice. I had visited the Society sometime back and was not satisfied with the quality of development. I had accordingly informed the Management. Our Management should keep a close watch on infrastructural development in the area with reference to Ring Road and improve our connectivity. I firmly believe that if our Coop Dept is working efficiently, and they keep their eyes and ears open to watch the interest of members, nothing can go wrong. |

@ Khalid Sahib, Thank you for your time, its just not the welfare Society saying that, the entire Real Estate community ( Realtors, Real Estate Agents ) is making the same demand to the Management, if you kindly write your email, or write to our Email Address, I will send you the copy of that application, which had been forwarded to the Management and also the one sent by us to the Management and Co-Operative department and other concerting departments. If you have any doubt on my Credibility, you can ask those Property agents, whom sent that application to the Management. Our Email address is: |
