I have a plot in Baharia Rawalpindi and I wanted to sell this. In this regard I contacted one dealer (apparently with good reputation) and he asked for copy of my plot allocation letter. He wanted to keep it in his record and according to him he wanted to ensure that plot is on my name. Should I give the copy to him? Is there any harm in doing so? The society has changed so much that it is very difficult to understand simple things like this. Please advise.

Khan Bhai in Bahria Town transfer of plot is not possible without the physical presence of owner with the original allotment letter. However I do not see any reason for asking you to leave a copy of your allotment letter with the property dealer. If they want to be sure of the owner you just show them the original letter for a while to have a look, Do not leave orginal or copy with anybody for any reason. Just leave your contact no. with them.

Can you trasnfer the plot in bahria without buyer's presence because i have a plot on my Brother-in-laws name since i'm not in pakistan and now, i like to transfer it to my name. Is it possible wiht my ID and passport copy like you do in DHA< |

No Sir, you can not. Apart from other documentation Seller & Buyer are photographed togather in Bahria Office as part of the transfer deed.
