i need to confirm what is DHA requriements for minimum build up area for 1 Kanal & 10 Marla plots. Further, i want to start construction of my house in DHA. so what is best option should i hire the contractor only for labor or better to go inculidng material.Pls. advise.

A. Following is the information, from DHA Construction Bylaws, you need.
Sr Plot Size Front Rear Side Side
1 2 Kanal 20ft 9Inch 8ft 4.5Inch 5ft 4.5Inch 5ft 4.5Inch
2 1 Kanal 15ft 9Inch 5ft 4.5Inch 5ft 4.5Inch 5ft 4.5Inch
3 10 Marla 10ft 9Inch 5ft 4.5Inch 5ft 4.5Inch
4 7/5 Marla 05ft 3ft 3ft

If you are in Lahore, can spare time & take the trouble of selecting & resourcing the material then go for Labour Contract.
It will save you around 15% on the total cost of construction.
Since I am in UAE I opted to go for "With Materiall Supply" contract.
By the grace of Allah (SWT) contractor happend to be honest & I am really happy with the quality of construction.
