As i am constructing my home by myself on daily bases labor system , i have reached to flooring stage, i am not quit sure about the level of the floor(means water slop level) should be leveled either on kacha or on marble fixig stage.
like someone say on kacha and someone say on marble stage i am confused.

i dont know much ,,,but the water slope really depends upon the amount of material used to fix tiles or marbles... the thick layer of material under marbel will give height and thin layer will give depth...... lets wait for someone expert |

Dear Shah Gee. 1. You must have used Rorri (broken bricks) mixed with cement morter to reach the floor level. Make sure it is compacted properly so that there will be no settlement in future. 2. Plinth/FFL (Finished floor level must have been marked on construction drawings of your house. If not pl. check the same with the concerned authorities. 3. I do not remember the specified slope for FFL (Top surface of marble/tiles etc). Check it with the concerned authorities or your mason should know it.For drain lines it is 1 in 80 ie if your drain line runs 80 ft it should be down by 1 ft on the other end. 4. Keeping in view the FFL, thickness of marble/ceramic tiles & required/recommended thickness of the base material/morter back fill & compact properly the mixture of Rorri & cement morter to a level less than the FFL by thickness of marble/tiles + recommended thickness of base material & just level it. 5. Tell the required slope of the Finished Floor to the masion. He should be able to maintain this while installing the marble/ceramic tiles. Regards. |

Dear Shah Gee - For wash rooms you may make water slope level at marble fixing stage - There is NO NEED to make water slope level in bed rooms, drawing, dining, lounge etc., please make 100 % level floor as now a days never washed, whenever required 'wiper' is used |
