Dear TZK this was not the answer I am expecting I need to know the steps for filling and the cost so that I can decide to go for basement or for backfilling

Mr Aslam if you go for land filling then you need to approximately 7 to 8 lacs.

Mr Aslam! Construction of basement is an expensive proposition but you get one additional floor without increasing the overall building height. In your case it appears to be the best option. If you consider filling the plot with earth, still you have to place the wall foundations at 12 feet depth as earthfill is not a suitable material for placing the foundations. If you do not wish to go for basement, the solution will be to fill the plot with well compacted sand up to 9 feet from bottom & then place the foundation on it.

Get the sit evaluated by civil/construction engineer and a qualified architect for a professional advice. You may be misguided by thekedar/laymen etc.
