Mr Aslam! Construction of basement is an expensive proposition but you get one additional floor without increasing the overall building height. In your case it appears to be the best option. If you consider filling the plot with earth, still you have to place the wall foundations at 12 feet depth as earthfill is not a suitable material for placing the foundations. If you do not wish to go for basement,the solution will be to fill the plot with well compacted sand up to 9 feet from bottom & then place the foundation on it. |
