Can you please advise me with basic government property record system of Pakistan

I am overseas Pakistan and have lands in punjab, after my father passed away in 2007 (May Allah Bless him with Jannat) most of property were transferred to children name

However some of his property is still jointly shared by his brothers and other relatives,

I want to verify by government records what portion of property is in my and my brother's name. How to accomplish this? Thanks

After demise of a person, the property is NOT automatically transferred to legal heirs. It's the responsibility of legal heirs to initiate the process by filing application in relevant district courts for a ruling on "virasat" after which the relevant patwari is authorized to transfer the property as per the order of the court.

You should engage a lawyer practicing in the tehsil where your father's land are located. He will guide you on how to sort out this. Do not keep it too late. Pakistan in spite of being a muslim country has one of the highest incident of land grabbing belonging to "yateems", in most cases buy the closest relatives of the deceased.

DHA thank you for guidance, noted your point about NOT auto transfer and I will double check my paper work but we did transferred after my father's death.

Currently I am just trying to understand my records as of today and think engaging a proper lawyer is good idea, as it is normal for relatives to put properties in their own name!
