Preferred Open Side,

In Karachi west-open plots are preferred and therefore priced higher. This is because of the pleasant sea breeze that moves from west to east. What is the preferred open side in Lahore? I guess in Lahore, heat should be a factor but I don't see people caring a serious consideration to that. Or do they?

Which side would you prefer and why? Thanks for your inputs........

South open, for better sun in winter and less sun in summer.That applies to the whole southern hemisphere, unless otherwise, like sea breeze or panoramic view etc.

According to my research.
In central and northern part of the country, North open houses are most energy efficient, since sun remains always at the back of the house, and are best ventilated due to average wind direction that blows North~South, which creates a Venturi effect. The house in this direction can also have wider windows due to least exposed to sun. A good architect can further maximize these benefits.
