AoA fellow Lahore Real Estatians
I'm currently in the process of purchasing a house in Lahore, since I'm not very builder savvy I would be grateful if someone can tell about the durability of the RBC roofs being made by builders these days, what is the expected life of these roofs. I've been told by one person that these roofs get worn down easily, would this be lead to problems especially on the ground floor ceiling like cracks or stuff, any help in this matter will be highly appreciated! Durability of RB roof is about half that of RC roof. Construction of RB roof requires a lot of precautions while placing steel bars & bricks side by side. Unfortunately, our builders don't observe the precautions. Brick clay some such salts which are disastrous for steel bars & if by chance any brick gets displaced during concreting & happens to come in contact with any steel bar in its vicinity, corrosion of steel starts at that point & gets spread to other bars as well. Secondly, life of a brick is shorter than that of concrete. I shall advise you to avoid going for a house with RB construction. |

AOA RB or RC doesnt make any difference i am sorry i disagree with Mian Sb. You just save money i am living in a house made in 1991 or 92 .... rb slab is there and there is no difference at all.. rather i think it is providing insulation against heat as bricks absorbs heat, regards |
