Dear All-
Lets hope that Imran Khan can be elected as the next Prime Minister in order to turn the fortunes around of our beloved country. As an astute observer of the political, and economic developments, things are certainly not looking great. As a foreign investor, the Pakistani rupee has depreciated by ~35% relative to USD in the last 4 years which is a significant loss to my investments in Pakistan. I had bought some plots in Defence where I am taking a loss due to the currency devaluation which has happened due to poor economic policies of the current government.
I, as an example, have stopped investing in Pakistan due to extreme currency losses, and will re-consider investing if and only if Pakistan's economy changes for the better inshallah. Lets hope that our Pakistani men and women realize in this election that a lot is at stake. As a 26 year old, I am sick and tired of hearing about theaterical acts in Pakistan's politics with no PRODUCTIVE policies being conceived or enacted. Only Imran Khan sounds intelligent, and will be a strong leader. I pray to Allah that he becomes the next PM of Pakistan, and things improve in our beloved country inshallah. Pakistan Zindabad!

I completely agree with you. this currant gov (Zarzari, Gilani,Babar awan, Rehman malik, lateef khosa .........)is just a bunch of looters, we as a nation should support Imran Khan to bring the positive change. |

I agree with the comments above from everyone but we must understand the attitude of common person in Pakistan, whoever gets chance he made money for himself. And when people like Zardari doing such a huge looting no one is bothered to strick against his corruption.

All these views reflect sentiments more than sense. Looking at the things objectively, no one can bring any dramatic change.It is all slogans. Changes in societies and countries come gradually and continuously. That will happen when people at the grass root level will vote the right people without party affiliations.
The choice is not between good and bad. It unfortunately is between worst and bad. Or bad and less bad.
We should encourage tolerance and acceptance of the ground realities and try to improve from there. One step at a time. |

Mr.Khan u r right in some way but not all,at least less bad can come & start moving direction to right way, nobody is expecting overnight miracle but at least having honest ppl is a common man's wish. |

@Khan: Yes grass roots are important but so is leadership and vision. These are not only sentiments but facts that can be backed by statistics (high unemployment, inflation, low gdp growth, lack of foreign direct investment, currency devalue etc). A lot of Pakistanis now have hope in Imran Khan, and he should be given a chance this time around as we tried all other crooks. Long live Pakistan. |

Only blackmailers, looters & vested interest people do support PPP. Big number of people are just quiet that is affecting all. Now after all this corruption & disruption of the whole country pillars like PIA, steel mills wapdat gas corporations, railways every body who have the sense, must not remain quiet but to fight to vote for Imran. |

I like PPP because they are honest about what they do .yes they are corrupt and they do this openly. now tell me about your self (pakistani nation in majority) , are we not currupt in different ways ,from sun rise to sun set every day just watch your self, and then say who is corrupt. |

Why does our constitution allow criminals and double passport holders to contest elections?
England have parliamentary system, America have presidential system non of them have provincial system and we have all of them and not to mention local bodies govt.!!!!
We don't need so many governments because they keep fighting each other and we pay for it. |

First of all: Vigilance is the price of liberty. Therefore, if we are not vigilant, we cannot be free. Simple!
Election day is a holiday and stay-home for most of us, who comment here.
These people's mission is to destroy & defame PPP of Z.A. Bhutto. therefore, Zardari & Gillani and their ministers are extremely successful in their mission. |
