I bought a 1 K plot in State-life housing society phase 2 about 5 years back for 13.5 lackh. Now I can sell it for 8.5 lackh only. It is hard to wait anymore with prevailing situation and trend. Kindly advise, if I sell this plot for 8.5 lackhs, where I may invest my money.

I bought it for Rs 23.5 lakh during 2005 and sold it last year or Rs 8.5 lakh as there is no hope for its development. I consider sold it now and invest in DHA Town. At least you will get on ground ready plot.

I have a completely different view point on real state investment. First of all try to be the first buyer and not buy in the open market. Once you have bought it and if you do not need the money do not sell it. It has to appreciate. But if you are doing for trading and investment then it is a different story.

I am not a trader nor an investor, all i want is one single plot for my future home, and I am not selling it because i need money. I want to keep it but what I read, it has no future, no intention of management to develop it and seen some posts regarding pits in SL-2, they don't have enough land: for these reasons I want to sell it ONLY to buy just one single plot where I can get "a plot" in my lifetime to construct 2 or 3 rooms and call it home.

@Nighat.

1.I am really sorry about your case & pray to Allah (SWT) to help you
2.I feel this discussion is useless because we do not know how long it will take you to sell your plot in State Life 2 & due to this uncertanity no advice/suggestion of today is valid.
3.If you have any savings now & can afford book a 5 marla residential plot in Sector D of BT Lahore & put your SL 2 plot on sale.
4.If item 3 is not possible & you have made up your mind be bold, go ahead & sell your SL 2 plot & them come back to this forum to seek advice.
5. Pl. don't mind my bold point of view.
