BADIN: An unemployed person stated to be father of six daughters attempted to commit suicide through self immolation on the eve of International Labour Day but survived with severe burn wounds.

According to details, Abdul Razzaq Ansari, 45, an unemployed labourer of Badin, during a rally taken out to mark the Labourers Day in Ward No 4 here on Tuesday set ablaze him due to financial crunch and domestic disputes.

Other attendants of the rally put off the fire and shifted him to hospital where according to hospital sources his condition was serious.

Abdul Razzaq has six daughters and was unemployed for last four months due to which he was facing problems to feed his six daughters and it led to the extreme act.
