I subcontracted the construction of my house @ a certain labour rate per Sq.ft for grey stcuture. There is a dispute on grinding of marble floor, the contractor is claiming that grinding is not included in grey structure. It is worth mentioning that grinding was part of the written contract between us but contractor takes it as a mistake on his end.

I request a fair opinion apart from the contract agreement, whether grinding of floor is part of 'grey structure'?

Further, how much height of parapet is considered in sq.ft rate?

Please reply and oblige.

Would he be accepting any thing which was out of the written contract? If it is in the contract, he has to do it.

Well grinding of marble floor is not included in the contract of grey structure labor rate generally! but since you are saying that its the part of written agreement, so your contractor is bound to provide the service to you!
Most of the contractors include just 2 ft height of parapet wall in the sq ft rate, if the parapet wall is more than 2 ft then they charge extra

Thanx Mr. ....,

It's enough to convince my self to accept his mistake since the fellow is really a figure among zero (in the world of Thekadars!
